What type of sound does a gibson les paul jr give or should i get a fender mustang?
i really wanted one but i dunno if i should get a les paul jr by gibson or a mustang by fender, i play nirvana is stuff, green day, blink - 182 and write music and i dont know the sound of the les paul jr to a les paul standard, apperatlly it doesnt have as great of sound but it is more for punk/alternative, what do you think i should do
Any Les Paul have a great fat sound for punk or blink 182 stuff. Don;t kid yourself. I used to own an old 1953 Les Paul Special which looked a lot like the junior. The sound was simply amazing, lots of bite which you can't get in today's guitar. The Junior has that sound due to the old P-90 type pickup. It gives off natural sustain which the Fender Mustang doesn't have. I own a Fender mustang also but it doesn't have the bite especialyl if you are doing punki.
