My new bike chain keeps popping ONLY in 7th gear, regardless of the position the front gears are in. Solution
I don't think it's the rear derailleur. I looked at guides of how to tune it and everything seems in check. nothing is bent or too loose with it.
If it helps, the first pop started when I pedaled really hard when I was out. It has been popping ever since with even small amounts of torque. It only happens in seventh gear, regardless of the front gear position.
How many gears do you have on your rear cassette?
If it's only in 7th gear, I can only think that there's a bend in the teeth somewhere on your 7ths sprocket of your rear cassette...
