Associated board exam question?
I did my grade 3 flute exam on monday. I played my 3 pieces well and sight reading and aural tests went well............but the scales went awful!! I played them so badly. I don't think I played any right.
So people who know about these exams,do you think I could have still got a distingtion or even a merit??
Well, if I remember correctly, aren't the scales out of... 18? Or something like that. Chances are you will have picked up SOME marks on them, and if your pieces went as well as you say they did, then there could be a SLIM chance that you got a distinction, but not that likely. You could still be in with a chance of getting a merit though, I always cock up my scales (im on Grade 5/6 Clarinet), but the only grade i didnt get a merit on was my grade 4. So yeah, I reckon you could have still got a merit
