Golf is one game that you can love and hate with the same amount of passion in the course of 18-holes. After you master the game all is well but getting to that point can feel slow and painful. Don't give up though; make these changes in the way you play your game instead.
The first step to improving your golf game is to make sure you have the right equipment. This is not suggesting that you should get the highest priced equipment on the market. For example, if you need lighter clubs that are easier to swing, you should buy clubs that have graphite shafts. But, you need to remember that the cheapest are steel shaft clubs. The only way to select the right set of clubs is to test them, even if this means trying out your friends golf clubs while you are out golfing. Once you have located the right set of clubs, you can purchase a set of customized golf clubs. It is also important to understand the purpose of each club if you want to play a good game of golf. For example, a driver is utilized to get the most distance and can drive the ball to 230 yards for men and 200 for women. A 7 iron is used for shorter shots of around 140 for men and 120 yards for women. As you can now see, if you don't know what each golf club does, you will never have a good game of golf. If are not knowledgeable about the fact that an 8 iron will not let you hit a shot anymore than 130 yards and not 200 yards, you are going to be so disappointed that you cannot make your desired shot.

However, do not expect to see good results immediately because even the pros take a long time to reach their levels of greatness.
