Bodhran - beginner question?
I am a beginner bodhran player, and have just bought a bodhran for the first time. However, the skin is very see through, and it sounds very loud and echoey like a big bass drum. Is this normal? I'm starting to think I've wasted my money, because I'm not enjoying playing it because of the sound it makes. Is this a bad drum, and is there any way I can improve it, or should I just try to flog it to someone and get another one?
